Myths about Web Traffic in Relation to Google Pr

Dispelling the myths of seo in relation to Google Pr is based on common sense and some cold hard facts. With just a little research, the myths of seo are simple to understand.

Many times I hear of people talking of the Importance of page rank and the mythical relation to high search engine positions and massive web traffic. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, But I beat high pr websites with low pr sites on a daily basis. There are sound principals to my claims to this and we will go through a few examples to prove this in the content of this article. Read on and see the facts about seo, the relation of Pr, web traffic, and top search engine positions.

Google Pr is the system that Google uses to rank the importance of any page that is indexed by Google. This is a very broad explanation of pr, but is the official definition.
Not all Pr is created equal. The pr assigned to a page is actually assigned to the url or file that is associated with the specified url. What it takes to get to a certain pr for any given page is directly related to the topic, or more accurately, the Title of the page.

Example: To get a pr 4 index page for the term “Dallas Real Estate” you will need in excess of 2000 relevant links pointing to your website. Now to relate to the pr 4 for Dallas Real Estate we will compare “Dothan Real Estate” (Alabama) which only needs 200 links to reach a pr 4. The competition is a direct factor in the pr of any given page.
Now that we have established that there is a difference in the amount of links to reach the same pr in 2 separate locations, lets dig a little deeper into the Pr myths.

The title is very important in the pr of a page. If you have nothing but a competitive phrase for the title of a page. Lets use “Dallas Real Estate” again for our example. Now lets use something else to compare it to, Lets make one up for an example. In our example title we will use “George Herbert Walker Bush Real estate and title company in Dallas Texas” as our title. Now, If you break the title down into smaller sections there are several powerful and competitive phrases in it, so would you think you need more links to get to pr 4 for this page or less than 2000 links? It has Dallas Real Estate in the title.

The fact of the matter is that the more words that you have in the title, the easier it is to get a higher Pr. The reason for this is that the title is the first thing a spider sees when it crawls a page and the spider takes this as the subject of the page. Now consider this. How many people do a search on “George Herbert Walker Bush Real estate and title company in Dallas Texas”? Not many I am sure so this makes it less competitive and therefore it is easy to build pr for that page You could build to a pr 4 on this page in less than 100 proper links.

Now that we have explained this, let get to the web traffic that is generated from Pr. Looking at the numbers for Dallas Real Estate you could get over 1000 unique visitors per day once you get top 5 in Google. But in Dothan you would get less than 150 average per day and yet they are both Pr 4 website pages.
